Lisa Ivany, Psychotherapist
she/her, MACP, RP-Q, CRPO

My journey to psychotherapy has not been a straight path. I’ve enjoyed a full and rewarding career as a pediatric physiotherapist for the past 27 years. In that time, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact that parents and caregivers have on the well-being of their children. I’ve had all the tools to treat children's physical challenges but nothing to help parents and caregivers form healthy attachments and relationships with their children that are vital to their children’s health.

So, I’ve recently completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology to do more of this work. My goal is to provide parents and caregivers with a safe, non-judgmental space to work towards becoming the parents we all strive to be - caring, patient, empathic, responsive and loving. But to do this consistently, we need to take care of ourselves, ensure that our emotions are regulated, that we know which boundaries to put in place, and that we have the support to parent with confidence.

We all know that raising happy, healthy, resilient children takes a village, and I’d be honoured to be a part of yours.
